Avalon was founded by Maria Sala, born and raised in The Netherlands of a Polish mother and Italian father. She graduated 'cum laude' from the The Maastricht School of Translation and Interpreting (Zuyd University) and obtained the degree of Bachelor of International Communication in Maastricht. She is a member of the Dutch Translators Association (NGTV) and a sworn translator (accredited in The Netherlands) from Polish, English and Spanish into Dutch. After having gained experience working two years in a Dutch translation agency, she decided to move back to her roots in Poland and fulfil her dream. Being languages her passion, she felt she wanted more than just translating and this is how the language services agency was born.
